Time seems to fly fast and I suppose I can’t do anything about that. From the year I was born, 1994, now it’s 2010. It’s been 16 years! And now it’s time to make my New Year’s Resolution. I’ve had so many New Year’s Resolution but I guess it didn’t work out. I learned that the most important thing to be able to make one is to not kid yourself. “The most important thing is to be honest with yourself,” says Howard Josepher. Make sure that you know how to hold yourself accountable. If you cheat by having “just one more”, you know that you’re just cheating yourself. To make a successful year, you have to be liable. And another thing in making New Year’s resolution, is to be realistic by setting achievable goals. Winning the lottery, for example, is out of your grasp. Ha-ha.
This year didn’t start out well; still, I’m going to sort it up. I’ll aim to improve myself and that’s my first resolution. Last year has been a nerve-racking year - full of stress, demands, and hassle. That’s why I’m having ill humor sometimes. Thereby, I’m going to make sure that I’ll be less grumpy and manage well to reduce stress this year. My second goal is to improve my health. I’ve been having less rest last year, but I suppose it’ll be that way again this year. So what I’m going to do is to eat better and exercise more. I want to grow taller, that’s why. It’s not impossible, so, why not? The next thing is to learn something new. I want to learn something such as foreign language or musical instrument. I’ve been trying to learn French last year but I stopped ‘cause it’s so hard. I guess I have to have more patience this year to completely learn it. Well, I’ll try my best! But before all those, I have to enjoy life more this time. It’s the most important step: to be happier!
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. If you screwed up on 2009 like me, well, try it this year! Who knows? This might be your lucky year!
